Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior UX Design Leader to join our team at Blithequark. As a Senior UX Design Leader, you will be responsible for leading the design of exceptional customer experiences across multiple channels, including web applications, in-club experiences, and partner-facing tools. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and engineering, to drive the development of innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers. Your expertise in UX design, combined with your ability to lead and collaborate with others, will be essential in driving the success of our customer experience initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business, customer, and product stakeholders to develop roadmaps and drive prioritization decisions
- Conduct user research to understand customer needs and behaviors, and use this insights to inform design decisions
- Lead design thinking exercises and facilitate collaborative problem-solving across teams
- Remove obstacles and enable your team’s workstreams and products to succeed
- Drive experience strategy and growth through oversight of the creation of business, consumer, and partner product experiences
- Think broadly and methodically about the people using our products, a strong design system, and end-to-end experiences
- Tackle complex problems by understanding project needs and measures of success
- Lead a high-performing design team to support the growing demands of the business, developing exceptional talent by coaching, mentoring, and guiding a team of designers
- Travel to other Blithequark offices to foster collaboration (up to 20% travel)
Essential Qualifications
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates your ability to design solutions that meet both business requirements and customer needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate your design perspective and advocate for design decisions
- A comprehensive understanding of customer-centered design methods, combined with practical experience in how a design team should collaborate cross-functionally to deliver solutions
- Strong understanding of design systems and the ability to drive the development of a strong design system
- Experience with design tools such as Figma, Flinto, Sketch, InVision, or similar
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading design teams and developing the skills and capabilities of designers
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in an agile environment
- Experience with user research and usability testing, and the ability to apply this knowledge to inform design decisions
- Strong business acumen and understanding of the commercial aspects of design decisions
